I've seen 7 of the 8 (haven't seen YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN yet). Actually, six-and-a-half, if you count the fact that I left MARY POPPINS at intermission.

Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. We're talking about the eight shows that are not affected by the strike:

Cymbeline
Mauritius
Xanadu
Young Frankenstein
Mary Poppins
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
The Ritz
Pygmalion

Wow, I've only seen one of those shows. Well, at least when I go home, I'll have new stuff to see.

I'm coming the first week of December and hoping the strike is done by then (definitely losing hope on that though), but I've got tickets to Pygmalion, The Ritz and Young Frankenstein. Mauritius will be closed by then so I'll have seen everything but Cymbeline at that point. Debating whether to see Cymbeline. Those that have seen it, is it worth going to see? Thinking I just may catch a bunch of off-Broadway stuff and possibly see Xanadu again.

Word of mouth on CYMBELINE is quite good.

Anyone see anything off or off-off Broadway they liked? I saw SISTER CITIES at the T. Schreiber Studio and it wasn't bad. I'm dying to see RICHARD III, THE PIANO TEACHER and QUEEN'S BOULEVARD (THE MUSICAL).

C'mon tastemakers! Think outside the Broadway box!

I am so Broadway-starved that Xanadu is looking awful appealing at this point.

What do you have against Xanadu? It's a great show. I bought tickets because my friend is a huge Olivia fan and I knew he wanted to see it. I had just seen the movie and was pretty unsure of what I was getting myself into but it turned out to be a great show. You should definitely consider watching it if you haven't already.

I didn't like Cymbeline. Found it to be a pretentious bore featuring acting that ran the gamut from generic Shakespeare acting to very strong. Unfortunately, only 2 people fell into the "very strong" category.

I've seen everything except for YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, CYMBELINE, and THE RITZ, and I have my tickets to CYMBELINE for this weekend. THE RITZ was our backup plan, so I'll probably see that this weekend, too.

If this strike drags on, I guess I'll just have to see XANADU again. Sigh. :)

I've seen 6 out of 8 of those.
Just havent seen THE RITZ or CYMBELINE for the reasons that people on this board have said I'm a little young for THE RITZ anyways, and I've heard CYMBELINE was a snoozer on the most part so I skipped that.
Yeah :)
