It was kind of weird... Why can't they just sing it normally instead of trying to make it all dramatic? (and kind of showing off) Not bad, but not what I like.

I totally just happened to catch the second half of the song when I was flipping through channels; it was a very odd collection of people and an odd version of the song, but Idina did fine.

I really enjoyed her rendition, ESPECIALLY the end -- Her riffing during the last few lines was just... it was jaw-dropping. At the beginning, it did seem like it took her a second to get on track with the choir and Il Divo (the quartet)... hahaa, it was so jumbled with different voices, I'd be flustered too.

I agree, the combination did nothing for me
Il Divo, "purple mountain majesties?" you're kidding me right, it always kind irks me when patriotic songs are sung by people who aren't american (expect david, unless they all live here now, not really sure Sebastian - France, Urs - Switzerland or Holland not really clear, and Carlos - Spain) especially when they sing it wrong, yes more practice/rehersal, it could have been much better

Wow. Goosebumps all over me. I'm reminded again what an amazing voice she has! The Il Divo part was kind of shocking, but the power all together was great. Way to go Idina!

Okay, so it does seem like an odd mix of people to sing this song and I can see why some people wouldn't like it, but I thought it was really good! Very enjoyable! Oh! by the way, I watched it online b/c I missed the live airing so here's the link in case anyone else missed it!

Well....It figures I would miss this! I am a big tennis fan and have been watching the Open for the past 2 weeks. I decided to miss the women's final to finish helping a friend move. And what happens? I miss Ms. Menzel!!
