TheActr97J, I would absolutely recommend the on-stage seats, especially for the price. I must admit though, I will most likely revisit the production, this time sitting in the house, just to appreciate it from that perspective.
AC126748, great review. If this season weren't so beaming with leading actors in plays, I'd say Plummer could easily have a third Tony on his shelf come June. But still, in my opinion, his performance doesn't come close to Hugh Dancy's in JOURNEY'S END. Dancy is the "find" of the season, and whether or not JOURNEY'S END is still running come June, I think his performance will be unforgettable for the Tony voters and that he will be rewarded for his mind-blowing Broadway debut in an important, relevant play that Broadway has not seen in 80+ years.

Posted: 3/23/07 at 12:54amFoster, in the onstage seats, you noticed you were directly facing the house. Cpuld you still see what is happening on the stage? I would love to sit onstage, and i was wondering this.

Saw it last night. Plummer and Dennehy are magical. They complement and support each other beautifully.
Of all the new things I have seen this week, this is the first to "blow me away."
I thought my husband was joking when he told me they were selling plush monkeys at the merchandise desk, but there they were: little monkey dolls wearing "Inherit the Wind" t-shirts. I was stunned!

Posted: 4/6/07 at 8:30amWow, that is rather shocking, Miss P. I would think that they would be more popular over at the Marquis merchandise booth, not to mention more appropriate.

Miss Pennywise, I am *so glad* you enjoyed the show! It is definitely the best play I've seen all season. Plummer was stunning.
Oh and they were selling those plush monkeys at the first preview as well...I thought it was kind of strange, but I did see two people buy them.

Agree, with the others--- I have sat onstage and Balcony-- both were good, but loved being onstage !!!
Production is fabulous, and Dennehy will get even stronger as this goes along !

Why didn't you just add it to this thread in the first place instead of creating a completely unnecessary new thread?
You had already written some detailed thoughts in this thread to begin with. It would have made sense to just continue in this thread with your new thoughts so they were all in one place, no?
