Regarding Idina, no. Someone really needs to expand their horizons. Idina this, Idina that. Yuck.

First off Idina is at a point in her carrear where she wouldn't replace anyone. She has become too much of a name for her to replace ever since her tony win from wicked and her CD comming out.

So you're basically saying that anyone who's ever played Elphaba would be a great Ursula?

Idina Menzel would never play Ursula because like Winston said, at this point in her career, she would never settle for being a replacement for someone. And while she could probably sing the part, I don't think she would be as good in the role as Sherie.

eeh no, I love Idina, but her voice is NOT for that role. Actually, I dont think any Elphaba except SJB, MAYBE Julia would perform the role correctly.
And I wouldnt say Idina is beyond replacing someone, I'm sure if the right part showed up that she would want to play and she could perform it she prolly would go ahead and take over.

i would love to see sjb in the role, and shoshana. i hope sho and meg will come to a club or pub in nyc and do their variety show. and also do the wicked medley swtich.

I completely agree with Idinabellfoster. Emily skinner OWNS Poor Unfortunate Souls. Recently hearing her sing it at The Kennedy Center was a religious experience.
