The Public also sells $15 general rush tickets to any show that isn't sold out.
Thanks, Elphie!
I am almost positive that this run will sell out so I wouldn't count on rush seats.

Yeah, considering the limited run, the smallness of the theatre and the size of Menzel's fan base, I would bet the entire run will sell out on the 19th or shortly thereafter. I wouldn't count on any rush seats, though I suppose cancellations are always a possibility.
with student discount someone said that you can get at most 2 tickets..i'm under 25 but i'll probably go with my mom who isnt, does that mean only i can get student discount or both?
EDIT: how do you do student discount.. ive never done it before, do i like need something proving i'm under 25?

A student ID.
Margo - Do you mean just general rush? Or Student rush as well?

Rush is generally only available for non-soldout performances. It would appear likely that the entire run of this show will sellout within a day or two so I can't imagine a lot of rush seats being available (perhaps if there are cancellations or returns).
I don't know much about The Public's student ticket policy other than you have to buy tickets in person at the box office with a valid ID -- two tix per ID. If you want to go that route (and they allow you to buy student tix in advance and not just rush day-of), it would behoove you to be at the Public Theatre box office on Monday the 19th at 1pm when it opens with your ID (it closes at 6). I could be wrong, but I doubt that there will be a lot of tickets left (for students or anybody else) much past Monday.

Maybe they'll set aside Student Rush tickets...I hope.
What sucks is, there are those of us who aren't going for just Idina...there are some who actually WANT to see the SHOW.
Oh well, such is life.

Yeah, I know you of all people don't care at all about seeing Idina, right?

Even LaChiusa tops Idina...::bad image::
Idina is, what I call, a perk to an already perkified situation.
I'm SO excited to see this show, Idina's presence in it aside. But the fact that she and Marc are in it doesn't hurt at ALL.

I'm very excited for this production, too.
I am excited about the show as well. I still need to pick up The Wild Party cast recording to familiarize myself with his music, but I've heard nothing but good things.

The Wild Party
First Lady Suite
Hello Again
Marie Christine (I think that's my favorite, actually)
Little Fish
I think that's all the recordings made....
I just got home from work a little while ago and opened my cable bill. On the back of the movies on demand catalog is a coupon for $5 off tickets to this show from October 11-30.
The code is SSEML39
I know it's only 5 but every bit helps!!
thanks bwayfan!

Tickets have been on sale a day early and there is a warning that there may be nudity present in the production. SOOOO
Who's getting NAKED. Hmmmm I don't know which one to be more excited about Mr. Kudish or Idina. Either would be just an added bonus but however not required.

I just got mine for November 19th through telecharge. I got row F center.
Got mine, Oct 23rd @ 2pm row C
Woo hoo! Got mine for Nov. 5, Row B.
I'm bringing an Idina-loving friend of mine (she's my age, not a teenager) in the hopes of finally exposing her to LaChiusa.
But am I the only one excited to see Mary Testa? Love her.

I'm far more excited about seeing Testa (who was amazing in LaChiusa's "First Lady Suite" at the Connelly two seasons ago) than anyone else in the cast.
Nov 3, right orch row RA, seat 6
October 15th, stage right, row E, seats 9 and 11. There is still a pair of student tickets available for this date as of 2.5 hours ago on the other side of the stage.

And Idina...not so bad either.
