Hey Starbuck,
Lay off the espresso.
Margo-
Thanks for the information! Sometimes it seems like your knowledge (of the theatre world anyway...) is never-ending!
I doubt Idina will try to slip out some side entrance, with legions of fans ready to riot if she doesn't come out and sign their Wicked playbills.
Idina will be signing Wicked playbills until she's 80 years old starring in a revival of Pippin.
WHAT? Idina's doing Pippin?

megean: No espresso, I suppose that after seeing this same debate in every thread where this "slip of tongue" is made, it gets annoying and repetitive (and I believe that someone actually RE-posted their little "lizard isn't a turtle" quote on this post just like in several others I've seen. I just don't see that it's necessary. That is all.
And Patronus: It's fine that you asked, I didn't think it was a bad question. I'm sure that a lot of other people were wondering the same thing. And since it's your opinion that musicals and plays are different (which... they are, but I don't think using "play" as a general term is a bad thing either - my opinion, though), then you have the right to express it. But in answer to your question: No, I don't feel better. It wasn't written with the intention of making anyone "feel" better. Solely to hopefully get this thread off of something so off-topic. Which will hopefully happen.
Thanks for the scoop Margo. I've actually always wondered about the number of theaters there. I've never been, only to Joe's Pub.
I was nervous about the ticket situation in terms of seating, but now I realize it's just about getting on it early enough on the 19th. Would getting tickets online be best or do you think via phone?

I've been a member of The Public for over a decade and even before I became a member I used to go there regularly for years before (I've probably seen 50+ plays there over the years). Truly one of my favorite places in the entire city.
sorry starbuck, it was just a play on words that I couldn't resist.
I'm not gonna lie though...it does annoy me when people don't use the right term.

I like how it takes Margo to say EXACTLY what I was saying - the actors leave throught the lobby...unless they take an alternate way out.
Thanks, Margo.
Thrust stage!? AWESOME! My favorite kind! (Shaddap!) 250 seats? damn - no wonder it'll be hard to get tickets

Personally I'd go online. I rarely have a problem with telecharge.com when ordering online. With the phone, especially right at 10am, there's always the chance for busy signals and being put on hold.
That's not true. I still wouldn't consider it to have no stage door...Margo just explained better than you did.
Sorry I didnt post on here earlier I was too busy laughing hysterically at bso's post:
""Don't see the show, there ain't no stage door. Bitches! xoxo, Idina""
So do tickets go on sale online at 10am? They go on sale Monday Sept. 19th, and the box office opens at 1 that day. Would they be on sale earlier through Telecharge?
Elphie are you positive that tickets go on sale on the 19th? I know where I'm going after class...
Yep, I'm positive. I just don't know what time.
LMAO. That was too funny.
The thought of the Wicklyns at a LaChiusa show - scares me out of my mind.

Wicklyns? Never heard that one before. I thought it was Shiz kids or something. It's gonna be a shock for them...
Marlene, the Public Theater's page on See What I Wanna See says that the tickets go on sale September 19th.
Thanks Margo!
Thanks Elphie, thanks orangeskittles.
Will teenybopper/wicked lover the bashing ever end? You're all beating a really dead horse.
I'll be at the box office at 3 pm at any rate...whooo. Darn school.

One thing that I haven't been able to figure out is the price once they do go on sale.
Does anyone know the answer to that?
It's in the Anspacher? Excellent - that's one of my favorite spaces. Excellent indeed.
Pat - According to Telecharge, $60 plus fees.
