So, I'm planning on seeing If/Then at DC with my mom. But, we don't anything about it because it's a new show and I'm worried that there'll anything inappropriate in it like strip clubs and we wouldn't know anything about it. Should I take that risk?
I can't physically drive, so I have to have someone drive me.
Take the "risk". Don't miss out on a chance to see 2 tony awards winners in an original musical just because some things might be inappropriate. The theatre is alive!!
I guess "helicopter parenting" works both ways.
On the one hand, it might be perfectly safe. On the other, there could be a 10 minute long sequence featuring Idina Menzel giving blowjobs.

Yes. Menzel walks in on a gay prostitute orgy. So, I say "go for it."
IF it has smut, THEN you shouldn't go.

There was a second scene where Menzel, who is down on her luck, meets Rapp on the set of a new porno. But they cut it when Rapp refused to disrobe.
Listen, it's good clean family fun. That's all the OP wanted to know, right? I vote Yes. Take the mother. Live and laugh and love (gay prostitute orgies).
IF you want to see Menzel and take the risk that she might shoot ping pong balls from her cooch while giving head to a donkey in a Tijuana bar setting while your Mom sits there horrified at what her precious angel has dragged her to, THEN I say to go for it.

That's good that it's apporiate. You're joking about the orgies, right? (Double checking :3) I do know that there is a gay couple
ROTFL on Jordan's comment! xD
I do know that there is a gay couple
Well, that settles it, then. This is completely inappropriate for families.

Oh, no, no no. I didn't mean it like that! I was just added to the joke about the orgies and stuff

Idina plays a transgender singer, thus the title.
Here is the first production shot:
I'd like to thank Anthony Rapp for refusing to disrobe.
IF they take their clothes off or say a swear word
THEN my mother and I will storm out of the theatre mouths agape.
