If You Could Cast Your Own Miscast Concert...

Which stars would you have singing which material? First off... I'd have Harvey Fierstein sing "A Call From The Vatican" from Nine. Then Carol Channing singing "Defying Gravity". Lets add in Michael Cerveris singing "Tits and Ass" from Chorus Line... and Patti LuPone singing "Footloose". Any other ideas?

Harvey Fierstein singing anything would work for me. I will never understand the appeal of him as a singer. Actor/writer/comedian - fine. He cannot sing. Period.

Oh, Mother's Younger Brother, tsk. re: If You Could Cast Your Own Miscast Concert...

This is sort of random, but a few years back, a friend of mine came back from Rent and said that it was good, "but the guy who was playing Roger sounded like George Hearn, I swear, and then I couldn't get the image of George Hearn as Roger out of my mind, so I kept trying not to laugh." Which... this was while Manley Pope was playing Roger, I think, and Manley Pope, interestingly enough, does not sound like George Hearn. So I don't know what he was talking about, but it definitely amused me.

Michael Cerveris would sing the **** out of "Dance ten; looks three"!

I've been saying for quite some time that I would LOVE to hear Raul Esparza, Adam Pascal, and Norbert Leo Butz sing "Matchmaker" from Fiddler on the Roof. That would be one hell of a performance.

Chrysanthemum, I would give my first born to see those three sing "Matchmaker". Can you tell I'm on a Fiddler kick right now???

Linda Eder- Dat's Love (from Carmen Jones), Hello Again

Sutton Foster- Some People, Waiting For Life

Manoel Felciano- I Wish I Could Forget You, The Miller's Son

Micheal Cerveris- Vanilla Ice Cream, Something Wonderful

Drew Sarich singing "Astonishing."

(That's sort of from an inside joke, but I'd still want to see it!)

I have some odd choices, I know.

Well last night I was kind of hoping Matt Morrison would sing "I Feel Pretty"...

How about Michael Cerveris singing "The Sound of Music"?

Adam singing "There She Goes/Fame"

Raul singing "Oklahoma!"

Or two prominent Broadway males singing "A Boy Like That..."

Heh, the possibilities are endless.
