"I'd get some brilliant people to put together a wild, inventive musical version of The Who's Quadrophenia."
Being a long time Who fan, I would love that to happen. They made "Tommy" work so why not give it a try - lol.
I would immediately start casting the chorus boys! Think Jack and Karen from Will and Grace. :)
I forget who said build a basement black box, but that is genius. We need something else like circle in the square.

Why would I mount a Broadway show? I'd pay Leslie Odom Jr to come sing me to sleep every night.
it's been said already but REBECCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And lots and lots of new works! Seriously... I'd start a few special funds for new musical theatre composers... grants that would be given every year to produce a show on Broadway... set up a fund that would produce broadway productions of young composers based off the earnings every year.

THIS... and Andy Mientus just to look at.

Only because I've been listening to the cast recording today, I would help produce a Jerry Mitchell directed, Lisa Kron written, and Chris Gattelli choreographed revival of Footloose.

I would sponsor a national competition for authors of new musicals who have never had a show play Broadway. All finalists would receive a production commitment at a regional theater and then the winner would transfer to Broadway.
I would produce "Bette & Barry On Broadway". Barry Manilow opens with 45 minute set, intermission, Bette does her 45 minutes set, intermission and then Bette & Barry return on a Continental Bath set complete with pool and boys in towels and B&B have fun doing what they started out doing.
I Love Lucy - The Musical.
and I would create some technology to bring Lucille Ball back to star in it.
or Laura Benanti as Lucille Ball...
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane...Seeing this on stage would be amazing.

Okay, not a production, but a concept recording of JCSS. *yes another*
Jesus-Constantine Maroulis
Judas-Adam Lambert
Mary-Kelly Clarkson or Kelly Pickler
Herod- Clay Aiken
Pilate- Chris Daughtry
Didn't mean for it to be an American Idol thing. I started with one day thinking Constantine and Adam would be great in it, and kept rolling.

I'd also want a Saturday Night Fever Broadway cast recording. It's a shame we don't have more recordings of Orfeh's fantastic voice.
I would bring the Goodspeed Carousel production of 2012 to Broadway so that it could get a cast recording, and i'd record it for DVD too while i'm at it, a la Rent. The Next to Normal movie also is a great idea, mentioned earlier. I'd also offer to produce anything that Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey want to work on, plus i'd produce a musical version of Pleasantville (maybe with JRB writing the score). Finally, i'd commission the next tap extravaganza choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with Alan Menken score.

One of Matthew Lee Robinson's musicals - either Atlantis or Happy People (or both of them). He's a fantastic composer (you should definitely check his stuff out on YouTube - or in person if possible) and I'd love to give him his big Broadway break.

Not sure if there are any gamers on this board, but I would definitely do "The Last Of Us" as a serious stage play... or a comedy horror musical, complete with the original cast, which already has Broadway performer Merle Dandridge. As inspired by the actual live re-enactment performed by the original voice cast, the scenes and dialogue will remain faithful to the game, but all the songs will be ad libbed on the spot by this talented cast.
Well, one opportunity I wouldn't miss is the alliterative name for a production company, provided it's worked out with the lottery: Powerball Productions. (I'm thinking LLC.))

I have always thought that the Matrix movie would make an interesting musical. A techno funk/rock score, cool special effects. I'd finance that. But it would probably be like Ghost, cool effects but just an ok musical. Also, Silver Linings Playbook the Musical. I think it would be fun.
I would make every tour on a full Broadway league contract.
I forgot that first I'd do a production of LaChiusa's Wild Party with Evan Rachel Wood as Queenie.

Could be an intimate playhouse, does not need big sets.
I think Powerball would be the only way for anyone to mount a full-scale COCO revival, but God would I love to see one.
Julie Andrews is my dream Chanel.
But I'd also be thrilled to see Chita Rivera, Bernadette Peters or Christine Ebersole in the part.
