If you would chose a song from one show and wished that it was in another, and it will still work or make the story even better...what would it be?
"On My Own" from Les Mis could be sung by Johanna in Sweeney Todd.
That sounds awesome...
No it doesn't. Sweeney Todd needn't be bastardized by poperetta crapola.
"My Unfortunate Erection" from Spelling Bee could be in A Chorus Line
"Popular" from Wicked could be sung by Elle to Paulette in Legally Blonde.

I'm just curious how that would work. Please explain.
The score to The Pirate Queen could go in a dumpster and work much better.
Oh, sorry, you did say "and put it in another SHOW". My bad.
if you take a song from one show and put it in another...
...you would be a pop composer named frank wildhorn.

^ he he
umm... "the bitch of living" in Annie?
I've always wished that Mayzie in Seussical would come right otu and sing T*ts and A*s from Chorus Line
These are so great...come them coming I love it...
Wait...was Charlie Brown raped by his father?
I think "Pretty Women" could work in Company the same way it is in Putting it Together with "Have I Got a Girl For You" going right into "Pretty Women", but it might mean having to sacrifice "Someone is Waiting" and that wouldn't be cool. Also Peter could probably get away with singing "Good Thing Going" from Merrily We Roll Along, but really, why?

LOL
I always though there should be an annual Broadway song swap week, where shows select one token song to be excised for a particular performance and inserted into another. Of course, to keep all participating shows equal, the songs would be randomly drawn from a hat. Think of the anticipation and excitement when "Phantom" has to perform "Omigod You Guys" on a Thursday evening, or when "Wicked" draws "Roll in the Hay" for a Sunday matinee, and even the thrill oh hearing "You're the One That I Want" onstage at "The Lion King"! I say we have a winner. Let's get this moving. I can barely wait to hear Laura Benanti belt "Whatever Happened To My Part" in "Gypsy"!
I've never had a double post before! Hoorah! And, while "The Producers" was still open, I always envisioned Elphaba dazzling with "Haben Sie Gehort Das Deutche Band!".

How about Elphaba in WICKED singing PART OF YOUR WORLD from MERMAID?
Sweeney Todd singing 'Putting it Together' in place of 'Johanna'.
