Awesome! I had heard they were going to be on The View sometime in the next month, so the TiVo is already setup to grab it.
Thanks for the heads up!

Anderson Cooper is their guest today according to their site. Yesterday was a re-run so I am guessing the ladies must be off this week. And why post it on "that site", just tape or tivo it!

It's today!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I'm ready! Although I really enjoyed this financial lady that was on. She had some good insights, I thought.

What song(s) are they doing?
Laughter is much more important than applause. Applause is almost a duty. Laughter is a reward.

Cute cast, but was that really a "song"?

They just did "In The Heights." A very appealing number for television. That's sure to bring in some ticket sales. Whoopi and Sherri LOVE the show!
At the top of the show, Whoopi said she saw but AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY and IN THE HEIGHTS yesterday and raved about both, especially AUGUST. She also mentioned that Broadway is evolving to be more unconventional and brought up PASSING STRANGE once more.
Man, I *loved* the spirit of IN THE HEIGHTS but it didn't outweigh the poor book. Shame. Mirada has been working on it for about ten years, and for his first show: D-A-M-N!!!!! I applaud that effort. But a lot of elements still didn't work.

Technically Whoopi brought up "Passing Normal." Heh.
Harris - You're judging the whole thing on one extremely cut for time song?

I thought it was great as well, just significantly shorter as they cut about 4 minutes.

I didn't see it as a judgement but a comment on what was there. That's what they presented as a representation of their show on national TV, what else can you comment on?
It didn't do much for me.
