When do they sell standing room tickets? Is it right after the lottery?

They sell SRO whenever they're a certain percent sold out at the box office- whatever that percent is, whenever that happens.
Some days you can buy SRO before lotto, sometimes they're sold out of SRO before lotto even starts, sometimes SRO doesn't go on sale until after lotto, sometimes not until a little before curtain... once I was there when they lotto'd off SRO after lottoing off lotto, but that was a pretty rare exception from what I've seen.
... and SRO is $21.50.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Can anyone confirm if there is a wall or railing in front of row L on the orchestra right and left sides?

I haven't actually been in that theater since Tarzan, but when I was looking for tickets I asked the box office person if there was a railing and he said there was. I ended up not getting tickets because I was looking for a show to see with my mom, and she has knee problems and needs to be able to stretch her legs out.
Does anyone know if there are any seats in the Richard Rodgers with excessive leg room?

I paid full price for Row T for upcoming show. Am I going to be disappointed because of the overhang?

I sat in Row Q and was THRILLED with the seats--- no problem with the overhang... Not sure what it looks like from T, but I don't think there should be too much of a difference.
When I was looking at tickets in rear orch, I noticed that some seats had a partial view warning because of the overhang. Did Ticketmaster warn you of such when you purchased the seats?
I really don't remember seeing a railing in front of row L --- I went down to visit a friend in front orch- I think there is just a large space/aisle....

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

That's good to know about Row Q hermoione. I was concerned about the overhang. I can get Row Q, Seat 2 or Row L, Seat 9. Which do you think I should go with?

I'd go with seat 2 since it is closer to the center.
I will say that Row Q did have a different sound than front orch. In front orch you can hear the live music, while in Row Q you rely more on the speaker (which is nice and clear). You can't beat the full picture from that row though.

I definately say row L, I've sat in row R seat 1 and G seat 8 and I enjoyed it a lot more from row G.

Oh! I didn't see the difference in rows. --- L sounds good to me, but I'm always a closer the better kinda person.

Thanks for confirming the railing alfgiotir. When you sat in row L, was there a decent amount of leg room or did the fact that the railing was in front of you give you less room?

Hermione,
They didn't warn me of partial view. After I bought them, like you, I noticed that for Row V, which is two rows behind my Row T seats, they do label those as partial view. I called Ticketmaster, who contacted the box office but they said Row T is not partial view and they weren't going to change it. That was the reason for my asking here.
First B'way show for my kids and I was anxious about diminishing their experience but I guess there isn't much I can do but hope for the best!

Row L is gone! How is Row G seat 12? Are the seats really close together at the Richard Rodgers Theatre and you feel really crammed in?
Thanks in advance everyone!

I'm about to purchase tickets for In the Heights, and have two ticket options: Left Orch Row G, seats 9 and 11, or Front Mezz Row C, seats 106 and 107. Looks like both will be great seats, but trying to figure out if its better to be 3rd row center front mezz, or 8th row left orchestra. Thanks for any advice!!

I'd get row G.
The mezzanine in the Rodgers is very high up.

If it's your first viewing I'd get the third row center mezz, because the view of the overall show from the mezz (the lighting, the use of the ensemble in the large choreography numbers, etc.) is not to be missed, and I think the view from front mezz there is better than G side orch. but ymmv.
