It'll be made whenever the creative team feels they're ready to go into production.

Sadly, as the film adaptation was to begin pre-production in 2011, Universal Pictures pulled the plug on it. Kenny Ortega was set to direct it. Miranda hopes to eventually make a film adaptation but it won't be happening anytime in the near future.

You'd think they would start this up again since it could now be marketed as being by the creator of Hamilton.
