Currently at Tina! We are twenty minutes in and the girl playing Tinas sister just fell and started crying. She seems to be really injured. The show is stopped right now.
Ugh, never a pleasant thing to witness....or experience.

Oh man, you never want that to happen. I hope she is alright!
Scary. I wonder if they show went on? And if it did, I'd assume with her understudy?

Mars posted on Instagram that they had an injury and will be out for a bit.
From my friend who was there last night, he said that they had got their leg caught in a trap door and she was “crying and screaming audibly”

God bless them. I hope they have a quick recovery. Those trap doors always freak me out. So much room for accidents if you aren’t always being mindful. The Hadestown stage scares me. Everyone has to be on their game. The night I saw The Cher Show SJB had part of a costume catch the trap she was raised from. Scary.

IIRC, when Tina moves to St. Louis her mother and sister greet her in front of a door, which then goes down into the stage when the scene changes to Tina's makeover in her sister's room. When I saw the show, I remember noticing how close Tina's sister got to walking on the open trap door that the door set piece had just gone through - they were walking backwards towards the closet, and stepped on that part of the stage just as the trap door closed again. I don't know if this incident happened at that part of the show, but it felt like pretty bad/dangerous blocking.

I was at the show tonight and Leandra Ellis-Gaston covered this track (quite well, I might add, and impressively given this was probably her first time on). Wishing Mars the best! That trapdoor definitely seemed to move fast!
That is awful, so sad to hear when somebody gets hurt performing. Hope she will be better soon !!
