Interior Theater Pics

Are there any threads that contain pictures of the interior of Broadway Theaters? I'm looking for a few. If not, post them here. I'm sure there are many people interested in seeing them.

ibdb.com has a lot of interior pictures of theatres.
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D

Thanks for the heads-up. Never knew about that option on the IBDB.com site. Wow!

Here's a little gem I found on there: Shubert Theatre/Shubert Alley at the time of BYE BYE BIRDIE's last home in 1961 (it's 2nd theatre transfer after the Martin Beck Theatre). I LOVE the PRIVATE ALLEY/Pedestrians Only sign and chain blocking cars from entering Shubert Alley:

You act as though you've never personally see the chains in Shubert Alley. They still use them.

What's funnier than the chains blocking cars is that there is a car parked right there anyway.

If you select a theater and click on the thumbnails, there are interior shots of some theaters.

I like that old picture of Shubert Alley because I've never seen anything on the other side of it except the Marriott Marquis. I wish more old buildings remained/were preserved.

re: Interior Theater Pics

The building that is visible near the back of that photo of Bye Bye Birdie at the Shubert looks like the Hotel Piccadilly. It was torn down in '82, along with the Morosco, Helen Hayes, Bijou, etc.

re: Interior Theater Pics

For those future photo posters -- PLEASE state what theatre you're posting photos of and what city the theatre is in, etc.

Thanks!
