Is Patti LuPone still in Evita?

As much as I loved Patti LuPone's performance in Gypsy... I couldn't help but notice she still has touches of the Eva accent, especially when she sings. Has anyone else noticed this?

This thread made me go and crank up the ol' Original Broadway Cast Recording a/k/a Premiere American Recording. Love LaLuPone as Eva Peron, although I wasn't yet going to the theater when EVITA was in it's original run.

I do remember walking by the theater countless times though and staring at the photos in front of the Broadway Theater wondering what the show was about. I also remember the EVITA television commercials that ran on local New York City television to promote the show. I still had no clue what the show was about but I did know the song "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" because it was a pretty well known song.

I remember when THE WIZ was running at the BROADWAY they had a painted mural of Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion on the side of the building.
