Is Patti Lupone leaving Sweeney after June 20th?

So i'm DYING to see sweeney with my 3 best friends who have never seen good broadway before. When i was looking for tickets it said patti would be out from the 20th to the 25th. When I called to find out about ticket sales the woman told me that Patti wouldn't be coming back from her vacation. Does anyone know if this is true. Is patti renewing her contract? Will she be around until July 2nd?

Beside her vacation, she's in until August when she leaves to do Gypsy. Judy Kaye is taking over in her absence.

This is getting awfully confusing. Everyone's saying she's in until August (which would be assumed since Judy Kaye is only taking over on Pattis two vacations) however it still has not been officially announced that she Has extended past July 2nd...

As the previous poster said, it hasn't been officially announced that she extended, but since her current contract expires July 2nd and Judy Kaye said in an interview that she will return in August to cover as Lovett while Patti does the Ravinia Fest production of "Gypsy," it can be assumed she has indeed extended...

I remember reading somewhere that it was a twelve week extention, which would put her there through the end of September/ beginning of October, but only time will tell what is REALLY going on.

I pray Patti LuPone will extend her contract!!! Of course, I have tickets to see the show 7/25, after her contract runs out. I hope she stays with this amazing show!!

I doubt she will extend since she didn't win the Tony--Sweeney didn't even win BEST REVIVAL. I'd love for her to stay--since I thought she was fabulous in the role, but it doesn't seem likely that she will extend.

But she's gone on the record several times as saying this is the best experience of her career. Plus, it's not as though she has a steady job. This is an income for her. I bet she'll extend, despite the Tony losses.

I posted this on the Patti appreciation thread, but I'll put it here too. I emailed Patti to ask about her contract, and I received this response back from her over the weekend. "Yes, I've extended my contract with a few absences for other performances. I'm in it until Thanksgiving."

I'm a little confused... CrimsonFaerie got an e-mail from her saying she extended her contract, but on her myspace under July 2nd it says it's her last day with the show. Can anyone explain that? I hope CrimsonFaerie is right!

Patti doesn't run her myspace. I wrote to the email on her official website. Telecharge still says July 2nd as well, which is why I wrote to ask her directly.
