Has anyone else heard this??
ALW has it pegged for 'Love Never Dies' in spring 2011...
Though "Priscilla' is expected to open the same time.

There was a rumor of the Richard Rodgers...? Not very likely though, as the Heights movie comes out next year and it'd be boneheaded to close it before then. It also seems a poor choice for a show that relies so heavily on set pieces and aerial entrances, as the Rogers is notorious for having about a foot of wing space and sightlines worse than Stevie Wonder's.
I hear the Nederlander, Marquis, Palace and Shubert may be in the marker for some new friends come next spring...
Way too big for the Nederlander.
Priscilla is huge even for the huge Palace here in London.
They want the Rodgers.

The Evita revival is apparently eyeing the Palace.

They want the Rodgers.
But why?
Curtain, you are mistaken. Last I heard they were eying the Marquis. Besides, there is no way that Priscilla could ever fit into the Rodgers. Priscilla is a show that has a very huge set. There is just no way a show with that kind of set can fit into a theatre with no off stage wing space.
Catch Me if You Can will also be getting a Nederlander house (not necessarily THE Nederlander) next spring.
I don't know how true it is that the Palace will be open. It seems to be selling pretty well still and they recouped so all they need to do is cover their weekly nut, which they have.
If the "Spider-Man" people postpone again...why don't the just stick it in the Hilton theatre, I think that's big enough!

I don't think Spider-Man will be postponed again.
The Marquis would be the perfect fit for this show. Lots of stage/wing/fly space. Good sight lines.
Yeah, and the Marquis is also a good house for marketing/promoting because many tourists stay there and the marquee is on Broadway.
[EDIT] RUMOR: Evita going into the Palace?

When the initial rumors about the Evita revival came up (and the Rogers/Martin news), the article said they were aiming for the palace.
It's nice EVITA is aiming for the Palace, however, with an avg. of 85% capacity and avg. ticket price of $85 for 2010, WSS is not going anywhere anytime soon.
