Is anyone worried about the Into The Woods movie?

I LOVE Into The Woods, and just quite recently learned that it's finally being made into a full fledged feature film. Part of me is excited, but another part is skeptical. For starters, it's going to be a Disney movie, so I'm worried that they'll make it too whimsical, when most major Woodsers (I've no idea what the name for ITHWs fans is) know it's definitely dark in some parts. Another thing is that Rob Marshall tends to take the "musical in mind" approach, and yes this worked impeccably for "Chicago" and "Nine," but Into The Woods never struck me as that type of musical.

I hope the project does push forward and I also hope its a success. I also find relief in knowing both Lapine and Sondheim are working closely with Mr. Marshall. But am I the only one that is scared for this project?

No, no one is worried. That's why we have two threads with hundreds of posts related to this. BWW shall charge you for the cyber space!

See, and I thought a muppet version of ITW could be AMAZING. I'd see it.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I still have a newsletter and the signed photo I got when I joined. He was my first crush and I'm still totally in love with him even though he's married with kids now and lives out in L.A.

And here's a little Catalano factoid not many people know - It's because of him that to this day I have a MAJOR thing for guys named Ryan, almost to a point where they can be total D-Bag as*holes but if they have that name it don't make no nevermind to me.

I'm very worried about the number of threads for the "Into the Woods" movie.

Deeply concerned. In fact, I'm going to sit down now and cry.

Oh, I'm not worried about the movie at all.

Just the threads. And the threads about threads.

But who's going to play Kermit The Frog as The Baker?

And who were the other Muppets in roles? Were there other parts that were clearly rewritten for certain Muppet personae?

It keeps me up at night. All of my problems pale in comparison to this potential movie adaptation whose script has not even been completed.

Bobby Baby that does sound like the draft by the Splash writing team--but the Muppets were only meant to play the animals and creatures (not the mmuppets, but Henson Workshop creations)--the plan was to have an all star cast for the leads. And that lineis awful but I still wanna read that script
