Hi everyone, I just returned to my computer for the first time in a few hours, and I'm going to lock this one down for the rest of the night, and go through the posts. I think everyone's perspectives and opinions are clear here. We will examine if reopening the thread is productive in the morning. As I said in another thread last night, obviously people are able to start new threads overnight, so if you feel compelled to do that to continue this debate, please do it in a way that avoids throwing insults at each other. Disagree as much as you want, just try not to go out of your way to insult other posters, or large swaths of people in general.
We are continuing to monitor, discuss, and adapt how we handle these types of issues. We are a small staff at BWW, and even smaller involved in moderating the boards, but (believe it or not) we hear you, and take all suggestions, feedback, criticisms incredibly seriously (my stomach's been in knots about it for the past few days).
For those of you that are frustrated to the point of leaving, we are truly sorry that it got to that point for you, and we hope that as we continue to process things and make changes that we can prove to you that the boards still have immense value. And for those that have actively engaged with us in trying to create some consistency and thoughtful best practices, thank you, and please continue to do so.
