Didn't we learn anything from the Caulkin kids being turned loose at an early age? Drew Barrymore or LiLo. Hollywood kids should be put in custody until they are 35.



Will Smith has revealed that his "After Earth" co-star and son Jaden has asked to be legally emancipated for his 15th birthday.

Although this seems like it would be a difficult gift to put a bow on, Smith seems OK with the idea -– or at least cool enough to laugh it off. Smith told The Sun, "[Jaden] says, 'Dad, I want to be emancipated.' I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ooh…"

If ever the phrase "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" applied, it's to these kids. Willow wants to be 12, Jaden wants his own place at 15. Can we wager a guess that things are not well in the house of Pinkett/Smith?

Let him be emancipated. His father has insured he will never want for anything- nor need to be especially outstanding to work.

This will not end well and bring shame on Scientology.

Either he'll be caught in the back seat of a stolen car with a tranny hooker or he'll be found dead in a Tijuana hotel wrapped in cling wrap and masking tape.

Well, if he gets emancipated (and I doubt a judge will allow it "just because") doesn't that pretty much cut him off from dad's money? Or at least SHOULDN'T it?

In other news – Will's son Jaden explained he is not trying to emancipate himself from the Smith home. "The thing that people don't get is everything at his house is free, so I can get anything and everything I want at his house," he joked. "So I think I'm gonna be there for 20 or 30 more years!"

So where'd the rumor come from?
