I don't even know who this new guy is, but thank GOD they're getting rid of that talentless waste of space that was Caplan.
Actually, he was worse than a waste of space. He just...SPOILED. EVERYTHING.

Getting rid? Maybe he's leaving voluntarily.
Are you an actress? I fondly wish that someday, you get a big role and are featured prominently in something, and people call you a talentless waste of space. Lots of people. And it ruins your self esteem and career. Karma.
Why so mean?
Either way, great for Christopher J. He's adorable.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this kid.
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

Well, then I'm happy he's leaving voluntarily.
I'm only so mean because he didn't seem to take his role seriously at all, and he goofed around up there. Surely there are other actors willing to give at least a little effort and heart and show some respect for the material. He was not one of them, and I'd much rather see a deserving person in a show than a stale actor who seems bored.
And hell, I know people say it's because he was there so long, but I saw him a good three years ago and he was even like that then.

Yeah, someone else was saying that to me. I agree that he ought to be replaced if he's just not doing a good job, but that's the job of the production team, isn't it? Perhaps they should be watching RENT a little closer.

I*heart*fame is correct. As you might imagine, Christopher got some ribbing when he was younger because there's a character on TV's 'South Park' with a similar-sounding name.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a bad idea? I hate Christopher Hanke's voice. He is never on pitch whenever I hear him sing. So worried for this, why can't it be someone else?

That's twice this week, Wong!
Tell Playbill.com to do something about the question marks. Great article as usual.
"He is never on pitch whenever I hear him sing."
Rather than say something negative about Rent's score, or your hearing, I will leave it at repeating what you said.
