Jennifer Holliday is performing two nights this week at the Iridium jazz club. It's her first appearance in NYC since 2002. "I'm worried if I will have an audience, because I haven't played there in so long," she says. She also talks about doing 'Dreamgirls' again this summer in this new BroadwayWorld interview...

surprised she hasn't tried to sneak into the Oscar's big musical number this year(Dreamgirls section).

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

If nothing else, she gives renewed meaning to the lyric, "...Dreamgirls will never leave you..." Effie will have to be pulled from her arms like a rifle from Charlton Heston's.

I used to work at the Iridium when it was on 63rd across from Lincoln Center.
