I think it would be interesting to see the old-fashioned STAR vehicle make a comeback.

This is great! But I don't think he is writing a musical for her, I think he was just writing a few things for her upcoming album. I can see him writing a strong ballad for her.

I sincerely doubt he's writing songs for her album. Just doesn't seem like something that would happen. Unless maybe he's writing a song for a musical that she will introduce on her album, a la Andrew Lloyd Webber. But still, I've heard some early cuts for her album and unless he was writing something heavily R&B influenced, I don't see it working thematically. So I'm crossing my fingers it's a vehicle.

Congrats to him for getting on the deluxe edition! still a huge deal. I was just wondering earlier: what IS he working on? I haven't heard of anything since Honeymoon in Vegas flopped.

once again he shows all he really cares about it money. Exploiting tired movie titles didn't work so now he tries exploiting tired singers, which won't work. The worst example of everything that has been wrong with the genre for a long time.

No. Her last album was her breakthrough album and this one is receiving similar projected sales figures and better reviews.

okay whew, i was gonna say i thought her first two albums both debuted at number one. It would be a little "tired" if, say, he tried to get a single on a Britney Spears album. Ariana Grande makes perfect sense for him given she appeared in a show of his.
