And in fact, I said there was one instance where the boy involved was underage, and in that case it was rape.

So what is there left for you to defend here?
Even if we assume for sake of argument that there was "only" one rape, does that leave Levine in a more defensible position?
Even if we assume for sake of argument that the remaining boys were "just" coerced into having sex with a person who had the power to kill their careers, does that leave him in a more defensible position?
You are free to forgive and forget anything you want, but let's end the charade that it is intellectually defensible.

I haven't defended anything, so your question makes no sense (nothing new there). I said what he did was awful, I said he deserved to lose his job. I also said he was a great conductor, and I can separate the art from the artist. A lot of other people are going off on tangents and using words like "pedophile" that don't apply --and it's important to be clear about what he did-- or arguing that to even bring the subject up will trigger a person who has been abused--which is an overgeneralization, but a very convenient way to try to attempt to control discourse. Somehow you are confused and think I am defending Levine because I say we should be clear about what he actually did, and that it is possible to separate art from its creator. That's a odd outlook you have.
Now please stop engaging with me. I've blocked you after your weirdness on another thread and would be much happier forgetting that you even exist.

Feel free to block and forget. That is of course your privilege. Others do not think one can separate the art from the artists for the reasons rehearsed above. Others do not think there is distinction in terms of censure between statutory rape and the sort coercive sex Levine engaged in repeatedly that, for whatever reason, you don't want to call rape. You are free to continue to patronize the "art" and say nice things about it. America.
