My problem: love McTeer, think Rebeck can't write.

I don't know a single person who likes Rebeck's work other than an occasional "well, such-and-such was ok, I guess." It is unfathomable to me how she keeps getting produced by major producers and non-profits.
No doubt McTeer will be glorious as ever, though.
Agreed. Given Rebeck more than enough chances, and even read her slog of a book. Awful. But I love McTeer, so I'll probably still see this.

The only Rebeck I've seen is Seminar, and I loved that- so will probably see this. I also enjoyed Moritz's work on Hand to God and Present Laughter. Will be great to see McTeer live too
Agree with most re:Rebeck being the height of mediocrity, but McTeer is so brilliant and I’m always happy to see her back on stage.

I have never recovered from SEMINAR which was a waste of the phenomenal talent of the late Alan Rickman.

More to the same, typical slog from Roundabout.
Does anyone there even try anymore?
Agreed with everyone that McTeer is glorious and Rebeck is...not. I did enjoy Seminar, though. It certainly had a stellar cast. And actually a pretty great replacement cast as well! (Yes, I saw it twice—I’m not saying it was great, but I did find it enjoyable)

I don't know. I didn't see Violet but I'm glad I have the cast album. Time and the Conways was surprisingly affecting for me, if uneven. I enjoyed Therese Raquin, She Loves Me, and Holiday Inn to varying degrees and The Robber Bridegroom was fantastic fun.
I tend to be mostly positive on the musicals and I expect to enjoy Kiss Me, Kate. The plays are generally a miss for me but I think they're trying on the revivals. They just need to try harder on racial diversity both on stage and on the creative team and I wish they would produce more exciting work. The new plays are generally... not great.
^is this satire?
First look at McTeer:

I'd say his analysis of Roundabout is pretty spot on...
Any buzz on this? Want to see it, but not sure I want to catch a second preview (my only open slot this weekend) rather than wait until later.
