For what it's worth...
Regarding Jenn's lack of smiles: I agree with Bettyboy72, that Jenn's roles have not really been smiley and giddy with delight. I think she plays Natalie perfectly - guarded, brooding, angsty, hurt, etc.
Regarding Jenn's supposed boredom: I went to Bobby's last show on Sunday evening and she was most certainly not bored for that performance (I know it's a special circumstance, but she was fantastic). I also went last night (Tuesday) and she was again 100% on. If she's been bored, she seems to not be that way any more.

Not trying to bash her...because I do think she's incredibly talented. But on the bored note at a performance I saw a few weeks ago with a friend at curtain call ashe stood at the edge of the stage pouting and glaring at the audience, twirling her hair around her finger. And her acting was exaclty the same as it had been 3 months ago, and she didn't have much energy. Maybe a bad night...I agree she was worlds better on Bobby's last night though.
"I think Jenn loves acting and being on stage. As far as looks on her face during performances, after all, she has mainly starred in shows about broodings teens, so it might have been her acting choices. Way to read into her "lack of gratefulness"-are you kidding me? The girl is a professional.
If anything she has been soured or made "unhappy" by being in two shows that have psychotic, stalking nut job fans. I think she needs to do a production of My Fair Lady or something and detox from all the intense energy from needy and sad fans."
I'm hardly an obsessed fan. She's a child to me. I could care less.

I saw Next to Normal about 2 weeks ago and Jenn was as great as the first time I saw the show back in June.
lisaatje009, what makes you think she doesn't like musical theatre? I always got the impression that she loves theatre, seeings as she doesn't seem to have much interest in moving to screen acting (as so many actors do today.)
And (if this is true) while I"m excited that Jenn is getting work, I'm kind of sad that it's in what's going to be an obvious train wreck.
I never said anyone on here was an obsessed fan, but the N2N stage door is a nutjob heaven, just ask any of the cast, but especially the younger ones like Aaron, Jenn and Adam. I can understand the burnout. Seriously.

Although I agree Siderman will be a huge financial train wreck, the show might actually be incredible. (likely that it will not, and be a financial and creative train wreck) but no matter the case it is still a high profile theatrical endeavor and to have your name attached to it, esecially with all the attention it will get because of the creative team, is a pretty big deal. Even if the show flops a month out of the gate she will still be able to say "i worked with U2 and Julie Taymor and I have another orginal broadway role under my belt and i'm not even 20 yet"
The first two times I saw Jen (last April and June) she was great and didn't look bored. The past 3 times I've seen the show (Aug, November, and May) she look so uninterested and bored.
@ActingIsLovee: Like I said, I can't really explain it. I once saw a video with her backstage at Next To Normal. And there she was saying something like 'I'm not really a musical theatre singer, I just happen to be here'. And the way she said that...I don't know. Sorry, I don't know the girl. So I really can't say if she's passionate about musical theatre or not. Just sharing my thoughts

^ That was from Kyle Dean's Broadway.Com vlogs and I think she was joking when she said that.

Amen to that!
If she does Spiderman, she can add a new demographic to her stalker-base:comic book nerds.
I wrote: Good for her -- if it comes to fruition, but her name isn't going to do much to attract a huge audience. (She has fans, certainly, but i think its limited.)

LOL, AG. I know "they" know that. But actually, I don't know what former post prompted to even write that. I suppose it was about the comparison between the 2 ladies. What was I thinking? Dunno.
do we know for sure then that Meghann will be taking over Natalie?

Although I liked Meghann as Natalie I wish someone else would take over to see a different play on the role.
Adam and Jenn are really close, do you think they'll leave together? Does anybody know when Adam's set to leave? Sorry, getting off topic of my own thread here but I'm just wondering...
^Would not suprise me, but I have no info.
Saw Adam and Jen after a mat a few weeks ago walking to Kodama (the sushi place near Hair) (Adam also wasn't in the show that day) and they seemed to be very close with one another, perhaps boyfriend and girlfriend?

To be honest, who DOESN'T think Jenn and Adam are going out?

I thought Adam was gay? Nevermind, none of our buisness. So do you think Mackenzie Mauzy would take over as a permanent Natalie u/s if Meghann takes over?
Adam is definitely gay and I believe he's dating someone from Hair. He and Jenn are just best friends, which is really sweet.

I love how you think! Seems like the glass is always full in your world. But I was thinking exactly the same thing for Jenn!!!
Meaning the part about Spider Man being a flop or not....being able to work with Julie and Bono will be amazing no matter what!

I think her voice is perfect for this musical/ perfect for this part. I think Jenn Damiano's voice is amazingly strong (especially for her age). Really excited for this and really excited for this show. i have a feeling it's going to be a success! Anyone know when it will be released if it's actually true.
