Jenna Leigh Green as Elphaba!! — Page 6

I saw Jenna as Elphie this afternoon. I actually managed to win the lottery to get to see her, so that was cool. Meanwhile, as I waited in the lottery line, I saw her standing by the back door. I was like, "Isn't that Jenna Leigh Green?" And then I saw her bag. It said BARE on it, so I knew it was her. I chickened out and didn;t go and say hi, though.

Anyway, as for the show, I thought she was great. AND SHE FLEW!!!! Yay!!!! I was holding my breath when Defying Gravity started, praying that she would fly.
Acting wise, I thought she was one of the better Elphabas I have seen. Singing wise, she was fabulous as well, though to me, she seemed a little unsure of herself at first, but by the end of The Wizard and I, she had it.
She was also the cutest Elphie I've seen. She looked so cute, all green. She's so small. She was even shorter than Glinda. It made it hard for me to think anyone would be scared of her. But she pulled it off. The second Act, I thought she was incredible. No Good Deed was amazing, and she just broke my heart.
Anyway, my review is that she was awesome. I'd see her again as Elphie any day. So glad I won the lottery. :)

I saw her give you your tickets. At the time I was jealous, but then I won the lottery, so that was fine. :)

I never HATED you, I just considered mugging you...hehe...

Well, she was on her cell phone most of the time and kept turning her back, so I kinda thought maybe she didn't want to be bothered. Mind you, I probably freaked her out by continuously staring at her...

Does anyone know if she will be on again as Elphie before the run ends? I REALLY want to see her! I've seen it twice so far...once with Kristy/once with Stephanie and loved both their performances. Jenna just has such an amazing voice...I would love to see her. My friend and I have tried the lottery three times but haven't won...I just want one of those buttons! ha ha ha We did manage to get cancellation tickets for the matinee this Sat. If anyone knows of any furture Jenna dates, please post!!

Stephanie isn't doing any matinees as of right now (Wed and Sat). Jenna did today's mat, so you probably have a good chance of seeing her on Saturday aft.

I was the girl who FREAKED out when my boyfriend won. A bunch of people groaned cause I think one guy had the same first name as him. I think we were the 3rd or 4th people to be picked.
I saw the bagels as well...man, we're freaks. We don't go talk to her, but notice she has bagels...

i definatley would like to see Jenna and Stephanie as Elphaba in san francisco!! *prays* Let's hope!! I so envy you guys!!

If for whatever reason Jenna has the opportunity to go onstage as Elphaba in LA, I may just have to buy another set of tickets to see her.

I promise I will let you guys know if she ever goes on again as Elphaba. She is really good at letting me know her dates. And by the way the reason she was frantic on her cell phone was cuz I was a bit late and she was freaking out....ooops.

I saw Jenna as Elphaba a few days ago, and she was AMAZING!!!
she had an amazing energy onstage, and you could tell she was having fun playing the part. her defying gravity was beautiful, as was no good deed. her and glinda (kendra kassebaum)were amzing together, their voices blended perfectly!
in my opinion, jenna's talent is being wasted on Nessarose, she deserves to play elphaba!
she's so cute green, and we met her at the stage door after the show and talked to her for a few minutes, she's so nice! the whole cast was really sweet, they all stopped and signed autographs for fans waiting after the show.
if she gets to play the role again in Toronto, I'm gonna buy tickets off of anyone!
