re: Jennifer Aniston wants to do musicals

I love Aniston - not quite sure why, but ever since I saw her wonderful performance in THE GOOD GIRL, I've loved her.

The prospect of her doing a musical is exciting - although I would prefer her to perform live on Broadway, rather than in a movie musical - which I assume is what she's aiming for.

As said above (and although it's not a musical), Aniston would have been brilliant in THREE DAYS OF RAIN.

As far as musicals, I'm not sure what I can see her in, as I've never heard her voice before - but assuming it's atleast passable (as Kidman's is), it might be fun to see her do a role in URINETOWN, THE APPLE TREE, Smitty in HOW TO SUCCEED, or even SWEET CHARITY.

I think we need to hear her sing more than just a few lines on Friends before we can determine if she should set foot near a musical, although I do love her re: Jennifer Aniston wants to do musicals

I would love to see her tackle the role of Kim in Miss Saigon.

Yeah, she'd also be great as Timoune in a film version of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND...

Maybe she can star in a revival of I DO! I Do!

Well, she did sing when she hosted SNL but that was a parody of big-haired country singers. Still, she sang, LOL.
I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

Maybe she can play Reese Witherspoon playing Nicole Kidman in the stage version of Walk The Rouge.

I would love to see her as Roxie. She def. has the body and looks. If she can sing at all I would go see her in it. You dont have to be a fabulous singer to play Roxie. I mean, take Gwen Verdon and Anne Reinking. They both arent amazing singers (dont get me wrong, they're good) but they did a great job in Chicago!

I would love to see her on Broadway. I can't believe she didn't do Sweet Charity, when the producers were looking for a replacement I was wishing that she would be interested in doing a musical. Definately would be interesting to see her in something.

What about Christine in Phantom?

In all honesty, I could so see her as Sally Bowles.

You guys must be on crack. She's so untalented- her acting makes Julia Roberts look like Judi Dench. She may be a nice person and cute and nice to kids and animals..but she can't act.
"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"

I'd love to see her on Broadway, but it does sound like she's talking movie musical here.

Jennifer Aniston in the Mamma Mia film adaptation! Oh GOD.
[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.

I agree with Calvin, throw her into CHICAGO! It is only for three months, lets see if she can cope with 8 shows a week.

re: Jennifer Aniston wants to do musicals

It's funny how you guys mentioned Sweet Charity. A friend of mine kept telling me I needed to see The Sweetest Thing, but I only knew Cameron Diaz was in it. For the first hour of the movie I kept thinking, "What has Jennifer Aniston done to her eyes? They look horrible!" Finally I said something, and was told that it was indeed Christina Applegate instead.

re: Jennifer Aniston wants to do musicals

I agree that Jennifer Aniston should just not be on broadway, when we are discussing Jennifer Aniston on BWW, yes this is a sad day, and now I have to go read reviews of Lestat.

re: Jennifer Aniston wants to do musicals

yeah despite her saying this, i'd doubt she'd ever really do a show on broadway. i think she's more in it for the movie appeal, i mean reese and nicole both got academy nods for it... that's what she's asking for.
