What happened? I am in Denver and don't get the Wendy Williams Show. Can't listen to it online as my sound is messed up! I can only see Wendy on VH1.

If something is a local thing, like radio, why bother posting about it here?
The least you could do is provide a link, or a description.

well I tried to catch it on-line but I missed it. If you go to her homepage there is a survey there... Do you think that jennifer Holliday should have been a part of the Dreamgirls Movie?

Looks like most people say yes.. they could have at least given her a cameo.. i dont know like a bus driver or hot dog stand vendor i mean something!!

ummm most people said YES?!!! Effie is supposed to be like 18 Jennifer is 46. She's old enough to be Effie's mother. I can see Jennifer's presence in that film sort of overshadowing other people. Jennifer IS Effie. That would have been a bit odd to see her in a part she's far to old for AND in a film playing a role that's so small.

thanks for the files ghettob.. I cant wait to listen to them a bit later.. was it terrible? did miss holiiday embarass herself again?? I know how wendy loves to pry..
oh she is way too old to play effie.. but she could have had at least one line of dialogue! I mean Loretta makes a cameo for god sakes.. and sherly lee ralph was working the Kraft cart.. lol
OMG I just heard a lil bit.. JENNIFER HOLLIDAY NEEDS WORK Y'all!

I really do feel for Jennifer and understand where she's coming from. I would be pissed too.
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

I can't download the clips, but what did she say?

i thought she sounded like a total fool... completely ridiculous... the low point was when she kept harping "hudson is singing the song now... why cant i sing it too... why cant we both do it... why are they trying to push me out..."
or something like that... its like Jesus... get over it! 25 years ago...
i kept thinking of Baby Jane Hudson

To hear her tell it, she had a regular job on Ally McBeal for 5 seasons. I've never seen the show, but according to imdb.com she was in a total of 6 episodes over 5 seasons. I certainly feel for her that she reached the high point in her life at such a young age and really has never been able to find that kind of star status again for anything else she's done. I also do feel like they should have offered all three orginal actresses cameos in the movie, but from all the press she's been doing lately she really comes off as someone who is incredibly difficult to work with. Yeah, she was (and is) able to sing the sh*t out of that song, but I would venture to guess the show would have been just as popular without her. She may have originated the role, but I really doubt she had as much to do with 'creating' her character as her last few interviews would leave us to believe. To hear someone talk with that sort of attitude openly to the press, I probably wouldn't have offered her a cameo either.

It's really quite sad if you ask me.
"We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last. Life's bounty is in it's flow, later is too late. Where is the song when it's been sung, the dance when it's been danced? It's only we humans who want to own the future too."

Isn't this where we all sing "We Are A Family" to calm her down?

listening to that interview... it amazes me that she even wonders why she was uninvited to the premiere. theyre probably afraid shell walk down the red carpet and say who knows what to the reporters...

soulman its very sad and unfortunate that her career never took off much... because shes incredibly talented... but thats no ones fault. that happens sometimes...
but her antics are just hurting the film... which is what she clearly wants to do... and she sounds like a 2 year old stomping her feet with jealousy.

I agree. She'd be a huge liability at an event like that.

what i am saying is to give credit and respect when it is due. She is right, she has to survive to and it hurts. i think its safe to say she is broadway legend status. After the film she might even lose the gays...so sad

I would call that performance (which I never saw) legendary. I would NOT, however, say her career was legendary. She really hasn't done much of anything since, which of course, is her big complaint.

Let's face it, with a launching pad like dreamgirls and a talent like her's if she wasn't such a biatch (allegedly) chances are she would have had a very nice carrer in musical theater. I really can't feel that bad for her, if it was just a set of bad luck then I'd be a little more sympathetic.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.
