I don't "care" but I am enjoying his attempts to show that he's the victim here. I usta be a scific fan and we enjoyed altenate reality universes for their fantastical creativity which Piven is in full peacock display with.

He's obviously gonna stick by the fact that he had mercury poisoning. I highly doubt this will be something we haven't heard.

He should just go film ENTOURAGE, win his 238047208th Emmy, and shut up. It's over.

What time is GMA on?

It's on in the morning Wanna Be.

Cindy Adams reported today that the girlfriend he picked up around the time of the fish thing was told she would be his date for the Globes, but he ended up taking his Mother instead.

Maybe he did eat too much sakana.

People should really stop caring about this. As a result of Piven's withdrawal, two brilliant actors were given the opportunity to give us two wonderful performances. That's all I care about now. Let's focus on the present.

Bowing to Norbs and Wills!
They certainly proved their stage chops learning the part in a heartbeat and Moss and Ezparsa for Plowing on!
I have new respect.

Just watched it online...

What I don't get is...

He looks very healthy now. He said he hasn't eaten fish for five months. He was obviously well enough to go to the Golden Globes and fly to NYC to be on Good Morning America. I don't know the schedule for HBO tapings, but he'll probably start shooting Entourage again soon.

If he's feeling better now (and he clearly didn't look exhausted in the interview), how come he hasn't offered to come back to the show?

If theatre is REALLY in his blood and being in a Mamet play on Broadway was all his dream...wouldn't he want to go back to it once he recovered?

I'd imagine - even if he wanted to - that it would breach the contracts of the new actors if he did.

Ugh - as much as I ALSO want to put all this to bed, it angers me to no end to see this db go on and on about how he was "pulled out of the game" - Mercury poisoning is DEADLY, and his miraculous recovery is nothing short of a dirty little lie from an ungrateful, spoiled hollywood actor.

Yes - I'm glad W.H. Macy and Norbert got to perform, but this should have never happened in the first place...blerg!

Ok, so he said he hasn't had fish in 5 months, since he heard about this. So wouldn't he have been sick 5 months ago if he stopped eating fish because of this. The time frame doesn't gel here. And I wish Diane Sawyer had asked why he is now not back in the show. I remember reading a statement from his doctor that he would recover soon. if this was his "dream", why didn't he go back into the show. it kinda sounds like he walked, or they had some problems with him and don't want him back. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I was just about to go back and add this to my post. FIVE months ago they hadn't even started rehearsals yet! Five months about was mid-August.

What a joke. Jerk.
