Jersey Boys to Close in the West End

It also just closed in Vegas a week or two ago, with barely a mention on this site.

That's what I'm thinking, looks like all the jukebox shows really are dying out.

Kind of sad to see all the productions of this pack-up at the same time. Saw it again recently and thought the show really held-up well, though most people in the audience had already seen the show more than once.

Both on Broadway and the West End, it had a nice long and successful run, and both runs are coming to an end. Everything eventually ends and shows do eventually close, I don't think that says anything about people being over it.

Also, Beautiful is still going strong both on Broadway and on the West End, so I don't think bio-musical or jukebox musicals are fading out.

I wouldn't say Beautiful is going strong in London, it's doing average.

Do they release any information to back this up? Like weekly grosses or yearly?

The West End doesn't release grosses.

Also, there've now been professional, non-replica productions of Jersey Boys in Sweden, Japan, and the Philippines (probably more that I can't think of right now), so Valli/Gaudio/etc are probably satisfied with just closing up shop on the big guns and letting the licensing $$ roll in.
