Hi all,
This might of been a previous thread, (sorry) but does anyone know the performance schedule of Ms. Mueller in Waitress? Hoping to catch a saturday matinee performance (Oct. 15) and would love to see her!
Thanks!
She performs at all scheduled performances and currently has no published days off. Since she just had a vacation three weeks ago, it's doubtful she will be out any time soon unless she takes ill.

The box office would know if she has a scheduled vacation week. Otherwise, she has a very good attendance record unless she is unexpectedly ill or unable to be there for some reason.
That said, if she is out and you see Stephanie Torns as the understudy, you will definitely not be disappointed.
I went last night on a whim, and Mueller was in and incredible! She was obviously sick - coughing during scene changes - but you couldn't tell in the performance. Her voice was gorgeous and her acting was so grounded and natural. The rest of the cast was fine, but everyone felt a little over-the-top compared to Mueller, which is fine, but wasn't sure what world we were living in. The doctor was an understudy, but he was charming and had a gorgeous voice as well. Highly recommend this show, and I'll be back to see it again.
The only downside is the direction/choreography. There were so many moments where I just wanted to see her stand still and sing the song. Her acting is so captivating. I don't need the ensemble constantly there moving around.

Saw the show last night as well. Didn't notice her coughing but she did sound congested to me at some points.
I thought Drew's understudy was a better fit for the role than him. He seemed younger and slightly naive, but I think it worked well.

Seeing the show on 1/11 .. crossing my fingers that she is healthy by then
I only know Drew's voice from the recording, but I liked his understudy's voice better - and agreed. I think they had a cute chemistry together.
And I was close to the stage and could hear her coughing whenever she'd go upstage. But she was insanely good regardless.
Any upcoming planned absences for Jessie? I'd really like to see Stephanie Torns as Jenna.

Henry Gottfried does have an excellent voice but I think both he and Drew are totally wonderful as the Doctor. You would be lucky to catch either one.. Drew's doctor is a little geekier...which makes him very endearing. But both are charming and talented IMO.
I haven't heard anything about Stephanie being scheduled in for Jessie at this time (but who knows) - but again, you would be lucky to catch either of them in the role.
what about the other waitresses? they are fairly new, how were they? And i'm wondering if I should wait til next week to see it or if I should buy tix for Saturday now that I hear she's sick.

There is never a guarantee that anyone is going to be in a show..but a couple of coughs does not make someone "sick". I'm sure everyone is just tired after the crazy holiday weeks schedule.
Jessie has an excellent record of being there...You should just go when you want to go. She may be in this Saturday and you decided not to go...and then you wait for another time, and then she's out. It's live theater. You'll get to see Jessie Mueller or the amazing Stephanie Torns in the role. It's a win win.
Totally. A few coughs doesn't mean anything. Maybe it's allergies, who knows. But she didn't sound sick or anything, and as someone else mentioned, you wouldn't have known if I wasn't so close. Maybe she's just getting over something? Maybe not. But she doesn't strike me as the kind of actress to call out all the time.
The other Waitresses were great! I think I might have preferred to see Kela in the role, but the lady I saw was a crowd pleaser. And Dawn was quite good and charming!
Fitzgerald really steals the show.
i'm hoping to see her tomorrow. Anyone know how much this show has been at TKTS recently?

I think once I saw a 40% discount listed on the board but just about every other time it's been 50%.
I got mine at TKTS on a whim for about $80? Maybe more, maybe less. But I was 4th row back and right on the aisle. So, for me, it was worth it. And I LOVED the show and would pay that again.

In spite of the reported coughing, Jessie was in all weekend. Hope those who hoped to see her came as planned.
