It's actually about Mohammad.
Poor Jesus. He just wanted to be the next Israeli Idol, but that Caiaphas, Annas and Pilate are such harsh judges.

Tell me, and be honest...
Are you the same person who asked "are there any male roles in The King And I..."?
You would honestly consider auditioning for a show that you know nothing about?? Wow, just wow.. how can you properly prepare yourself for that and choose an appropriate monologue and song??
JUST WOW!!!!

The show's main focus is Judas' betrayal of Jesus, and also Jesus' relationship with Mary Magdalene - just in case your question was serious. There are those who say that the actor who plays Judas is really the star of this show.
Please don't audition for the show, I don't want you ruining it and embarrasing yourself.

It's also told from Judas' point of view.

Don't actors do this all the time? There are a lot of original works out there that would prevent an actor from researching a role until after reading the script. That said, this is a well known show and even the most ignorant of people could find it simply with a search engine search.

Yes this is true, but in this instance there is no reason for this person not to know about the show. Doing a little research on a show that has been around for a while and is fairly well known is logical.. It's just odd to me that they would audition without doing the research..
Oh please, oh please tell me you are one of the daughters whose mom was ranting over the "Satanic Message" of Wicked!! That would be such a hoot!!
For those interested venture on over to the Off Topic board, this thread was a SCREAM!!!
I read this in a semi-satirical article about Judas and laughed:
"Other heretical movements advanced ideas such as the notion that Judas was actually crucified in the place of Jesus. This viewpoint has been celebrated in dozens of novels and modern revisions of the gospel stories, most notably in the movie, Jesus Christ Superstar, in which Judas (played by Carl Anderson) is a well-intentioned but confused individual who gets all the best songs."
Oh Judas...you devil you.
You mean to tell me that every version I have ever seen was staged wrong?? Judas didn't hang himself? he was instead crucified?
