I guess the powers that be really want this show to close. Does Jordin Sparks even have a fan base? If Corbin couldn't sell out the theater (and for some reason I thought he would have), what are they expecting her to do?

Even if this show closed tomorrow it would close as a success with a little over 2 year run, a tour which is still in effect and a movie version which begins shooting early '11.

I'd say go see it before Corbin, Janet, and Chris Jackson leave as well...saw all three of them plus Gabrielle Ruiz as Vanessa and Bianca Marroquin as Daniela and had a great time.
And that ad is horrendous, I don't even have the words.

The show is selling fine. It's breaking even almost every week and they won't close it before the movie comes out, that's just stupid.

Why couldnt they do a similar Commercial like Corbins?

At least the Corbin one looks like it wasn't filmed on someones video camera!
They could have at least put a treatment on it afterwards, maybe a slight sepia or something.

i forgot about that video of her singing breathe. She sounds fine, nothing special... but her acting is ATROCIOUS (at least in this video).

The commercial is pure cheese, but Jordan has a great voice. And everyone slammed Corbin before he came in and then everyone loved him. Have we ever seen her act? How do we know she can't?
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
