She's only doing about a month of performances, but still, this might get me back to the Broadway before they close.
Guess I have no choice but to go back to the show!

Ooh...this is tempting me to want to make another trip before year's end, even though that would be pain for my wallet - I love Fiddler and I've heard such great things about the current production, and I loved Judy Kuhn when I saw her in FUN HOME last month. I'm sure she'll be great as Golde!

I really hope that this production will be a follow up of She Loves me on BroadwayHD. I love Judy Kuhn and for someone who cannot get to Broadway it will be a perfect treat.
Three fun facts about this:
1. Rebecca Luker (Danny Burstein's wife) filled in for Judy Kuhn in Fun Home while she was having surgery.
2. This will be Kuhn's return to the Broadway Theatre after having opened the original production of Les Miserables there in 1987.
3. This will be her second time in a Broadway production of a Bock & Harnick musical after having previously starred in the 1993 revival of She Loves Me.
With no disrespect to the actress playing Hodl, can Golde now sing Far From the Home I Love?
It’s a new world. A new world.
Golde!
JUDY, Do we love you?
- Do we WHAT!
Do we love you?
- Do we love you?
As a sidekick to a chess champ
Or gay undertaker’s wife
As the one who sang soprano
At the start of “In My Life!”
And as you once put the question,
“Will He Like Me?”
- HOW COULD HE NOT?!
But do we love you?
- Do we love you?
For thirty one years, the standards you’ve set
As Betty, Florence, Bella, Cosette
Fosca, Amalia, Little Jo....
After thirty-one years, we thought that you should know.... Judy!
The first time we saw you, you went on as Edwin Drood
We had come to see Betty Buckley
She was out sick! We felt screwed!
But a buddy of a buddy
Said we’d love the understudy
Did we love that understudy?
- SHE’S A STAR!
We know…
- But do we love her?
DO WE LOVE HER!
As a robot or an ingénue
In roles we envy, roles we rue
For thirty-one years, you always shine
In Bock or Sondheim, Webber or Styne!
Then…. we love you?
- We suppose we do!
And disposed to think… you love us too!
It doesn’t change a thing
But even so….
After thirty-one years
Thirty-one years!
It’s nice to know!
I love me some Judy Kuhn. I will be back to see the show again. :)

Ok can a show just be written around her as the vehicle now?? Gee whiz...her Tony is also another one that's overdue. Just market said show around her being the singing voice for Pocohontas and it'll be fine.
Nice work, henrikegerman

I might have to see Fiddler now. Also, JennH, while that's a nice thought, Pocahontas was one of the less successful animated Disney movies and it's a completely different role so I'm not sure that would help sell tickets.

Love these three fun facts!!! Love enhancing my theater going knowledge/experience!!! Guess I too have to see this wonderful production AGAIN....
I saw a friend's last performance in Fiddler last night. First time seeing this revival and so glad I finally dragged my butt to the show- I loved it and can't wait to see it again with Judy stepping in. Catch it while you can guys!
Curious to hear what some of you loved about this - for me the Chava skim was particularly striking to me, as well as the cast entrances and exits to/from the back on stage stairs.
Nice work indeed, henrikegerman!
JUDY, Do we love you?
I know I do and can't wait to get back to see Fiddler again now that she is in it.
Anybody going to Kuhn's first round of performances this week? She starts tonight ![]()
