I remember reading somewhere, that they will have to sell out every seat for the next 5 years just to recoup. Any truth to that?
It depends on the actual investment. At 35 million, yes, around that, but some doubt it is that high and it was just a rumor.
The figures that I heard last being bandied about put the show at a guaranteed 45 million investment with speculation claiming it was actually closer to 55 million. Obnoxious any way you look at it.
While I don't wish ill on the production, this seem less feasible that it will ever open. "Every day a little death."
Much ado about nothing.
I can't see them pushing back TOO far if it does open. If they want to open to be eligible for the TONYS then they need to open by April 30th.
Just put the CD out and save everyone a lot of trouble.
The music will be good but the show will be a monumental turkey creatively & financially.
Good to know you'll be keeping an open mind about its possibilities!
Just an opinon. Does not mean it is right or wrong.
I will skip it if & when it ever opens. If you wish to see it, enjoy.

I actually was excited to see it. I saw some of the sketches and animation and the concept looked really cool. I was curious to see how they would execute all that flying - which looked like Cirque du Soleil flying.
It's too bad it was all mismanaged and that it has gotten out of hand so badly.

IF Spider-Man does open in the Spring, do you think it would kind of overshadow other shows opening at that time?
I think because Spider-Man has been talked about SO much it could be what the press focuses on when it opens.
I kind of want to see what the hilton theatre looks like after all this so i am glad its still on.
