I hate that Producers poster! It's so poorly put together. And the slogan is pretty stupid.
THE PRODUCERS was more desperate in those final months of its run before they announced a closing date than CHICAGO is more than 10 years into its run and still going (somewhat) strong.
Edited for typo.
DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS had some of the best slogans.
"Get Taken!"-DRS
Beauty and the Beast stll said "A New Musical" for about 3-5 years....
I love "Let's Meet Under the Mizeltoe!"
I really dont like AVENUE Q's "Did we mention we won the Tony?".
It's pretty vague, and I mean, many shows have won a Tony before...
Otherwise, I like all the other AVENUE Q slogans...
But yeah, I hate SPAMALOT's "Funniest Musical on Earth" ads...
DRG, everyone knows that only one Tony matters. Best Musical. That is "the" Tony.
As far as PerezHilton goes, his site, like it or not, is hugely successful, so he does have the clout. And if you ever read his site, he is often snarky and disses more than anything so his positive comments are unusual. And since it was still in previews and no official reviews were out, I don't blame them for putting anything positive or buzzworthy up.
And, it got your attention so mission accomplished!
The current West End production of 'Little Shop Of Horrors' has a cartoon of Audrey II eating Joseph from 'Dreamcoat' with the slogan saying 'Any Show Will Do!' - i think thats brilliant.
A have GOT to see a picture of that!!!

I am ashamed, but I LOVE The Little Mermaid slogan...."The Hardest Part of Falling in Love...." OK, it's hella cheesy, but it IS a Disney show, so could you expect anything else?
I love the Little Mermaid slogan...it makes me go "aww" inside :)

Ok is there a picture of that anywhere?!? That's pretty funny.
It appeared in a few newspaper classified columns in London but im still trying to find a copy of it and i'll post it here whn i do. Its a classic isnt it. Just two legs and a coloured coat comeing out of the mouth.

For The Drowsy Chaperone, it says "What are you waiting for, more Tonys?"
Hah. I wonder why they haven't changed Mrs. Tottendale's photo to Ms. Worley.

I do like the Drowsy ads underneath the Marriott Marquis admonishing the people for waiting on line at TKTS.

My absolute favorite was the prior to the opening of the Les Mis Revival, they had ads that said "This October, We're Bringing Her Home." I just loved it. The "She's Back" ads remind me of Poltergist.
I also love the Phantom ads that say "Eternally Yours." So classy and elegant.
My least favorite is the Avenue Q "Did We Mention We Won The TONY" ad.
