re: Just a few more days till WOMAN IN WHITE!!!

If you look under the NY Cast and go to "Sights and Sounds" then "Images" you'll find them! I tried to find an image of Michael Crawford for comparison but no luck.

Really looking forward to Friday to see Maria, Michael, Jill & Angela perform together again!

And this is how Michael Ball really looks like - LOL!

He is hiding under the wig, the moustache, the chin prosthetics, and the fat suit of COUNT FOSCO re: Just a few more days till WOMAN IN WHITE!!!

He can't hide his voice and dimples re: Just a few more days till WOMAN IN WHITE!!!

I rather wish they'd cast someone else as Marian...Maria Friedman is the only cast member on the OLC I didn't care for.
Her voice was great, she just...annoyed the hell out of me. Maybe it's the character.

Hey guys,

It sounds as though you're all v excited about the Broadway opening! I'm from London and saw the show a couple of months ago...in my opinion you won't be disappointed. Anyway, someone wanted a video...here is a site which has 8 minutes of highlights from the Original London Cast First Night performance. Hope you like it! (This clip used to be on the official website, but now only exists as a sound file. Hint: save this onto your computer now before it disappears forever!)

Wow! I couldn't imagine how they used those screens, but they look cool!

Actually, on the Television ad, when Fosco steps aside about 10/11 seconds into the commercial, you can see a strange figure. It doesn't look like Maria or Jill, though... Creepy... Maybe it's a ghost.

Maybe it's the Woman in White? Clips

ACtually, I think it's a portrait in the background. That particular scene was taking place in the library, as I recall.

I think that you may have been annoyed because of Maria's character. I think she's outstanding in everything she does.

I'm looking foward to this as too. Go Daniel Torres! He will be in the enemble and I can't wait to see him in this, its going to be so great!!

Thanks Utahfann, makes me laugh every time :)

442...I'm not positive of the answer to your question, but I believe each actor who has played the role has been allowed some creative input into the costuming and makeup. I have heard that Michael Crawford was quite involved in "creating" Fosco's image in the original cast (he used much heavier facial prosthetics and a very curly wig). Michael Ball said when he took over the role that he wanted to change the look of the character to bring out more of his "sinister side" and that he believed using the prosthetics on his chin and jowel area only allowed him more freedom for facial expression. I'm assuming that Anthony Andrews and Simon Callow were also allowed some creative license with the character's appearance.

Yes, I think it's the character, too. Her voice is great, like I said.

I'm SO EXCITED about this show! I've been waiting almost a year now ever since I got the cd last year! I'm going within the next few months, don't know exactly when, it's supposed to be a surprise. :)
How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

I've not had much luck posting pictures, but will attempt it here. Please accept my apologies if this doesn't work. I have a copy of Michael Crawford as Fosco, with Maria Friedman. He was excellent in the role, and added quite the comic flair when it was needed.
