Is it going to transfer to Broadway? And, if so, is there going to be a rush?!
Seriously, exciting news. I'll definitely be seeing this.
I felt like the 2009 workshop was a total, top-to-bottom miscast and I know I am not the only one. I am excited to learn that Carrie is returning, but perplexed to see the producers hitching their wagons to those horses.
Excited, can not wait.
Though im shocked Molly is staying on as i thought she was pretty weak in the workshop.
I'm still hoping they restore "I'm Not Alone." I missed it in the workshop version.
Marin will KILL "When There's No One." I am SOBBING already. I may have to subscribe just so Im guaranteed a seat. :)

Yay Marin! Im still not sold on Molly...there better be some uglying down involved...I do hope than Sutton will stay on too!
Why would the then two-time lead actress Tony Award winner Sutton Foster want to be part of this show if she wasn't playing Margaret herself?
Foster will not leave Anything Goes for Carrie, and that's a positive for Anything Goes (where she is good) and a positive for Carrie (where she was emphatically not good).
Maybe Betty Buckley could reprise the gym teacher? Maybe get Amy Irving-that would be pretty cool.
"Yay Marin! Im still not sold on Molly...there better be some uglying down involved...I do hope that Sutton will stay on too!"
Why would you say "Yay Marin!" when you "do hope that Sutton will stay on" in the same role?? I'm confused.
Sutton played the gym teacher not Mrs. White.

No, no, everything's gonna be fine. It'll all come together the night of the show. It's gonna be a license to print money. This show is such a proven commodity, even a little miscasting can't hurt it. Carrie will run forever!
Optimism, theatre people, optimism!
I think this is a step in the right direction, but the right direction is NOT Broadway, in this show's case. It's regional licensing.
"Carrie" is by no means a perfect show. It's a fairly decent show of occasionally exceptional, occasionally mediocre material, married to memories of an exceptionally polarizing production. Frankly, "Carrie" could probably be done better at small theatres, colleges and regionals around the country than it was done on Broadway, and would have more of a life that way.
"Show curtain?"
It will be made entirely of used tampons.

I hope they're going to try to make this something more substantial than a period piece, TD.
