Kara is co-hosting with Regis this morning and announced she is making her Broadway debut in Chicago this September. She said she's concerned about the dancing, though.

Now all we need is Paula as Velma....Simon as Billy and Randy as Amos or Mama. Past Idol contestants can play the other roles.

They should put Jewel in there as well so they can cross promote their new Bravo show, PLATINUM HIT (which I'm actually enjoying!)

Jordan, I'm liking Platinum Hit a lot too! I thought you have a great idea putting Jewel in there. I actually would want to see Sonyae as Go-To-Hell-Kitty too ha.

Are you finding Kara as appealing on Platinum Hit as I am? She looks amazing, and I think she comes off much better here than on American Idol.
I also have a huge crush on Johnny and his blue eyes...maybe a possible Billy Flynn? He certainly has the charm to pull it off!

Whizz, I totally agree. Johnny is a DREAMBOAT. And his song this past week was AWESOME. I love Sonyae. She is killin' it.

UGH!!
this show should no longer be acknowledged as a Broadway show. Just call it a freakin celebrity cabaret. Totally takes away from the real actors of Broadway who have earned their spots. And even the so-called real Bway actors being thrown in as filler???? It's like a BigMac. All sawdust, no meat.

RippedMan- I know!! I want that song so badly? Sorry to threadjack, but do you know if there's a way to download his song? Yes, DREAMBOAT is good way to describe him.
I'm actually impressed in general with the quality of what everyone has been writing. I rarely cringe during the hook challenge.

Kara lost me with those shoulder pads she was wearing the in the club for that challenge last week. They were not reading ironic in any way. Plus her speaking voice is just so annoying. But I guess if non-actress Samantha Harris can do it, so can she.

I think it's an interesting idea that Kara will be the new Roxie in September. At the very least, she can sing. Now, she'll go thru the "Chicago" boot camp and learn the choreography. Hopefully, she'll do the regular dance numbers, instead of the simplified versions. I think that "Chicago" is a great show. It has to do...what it needs to do... to survive as a business. Yes, it relies on stunt casting to a degree. (On a side note: I actually saw a video clip of Melanie Griffith singing in the show. I thought..."huh?") I hope it lasts for years and years to come. They have an amazing cast, quite a few who have been with the show for years. While other musicals appear and disappear over the years, it's great that "Chicago" keeps on going. from RC in Dallas (in town to see "Spamalot" and "Chicago" in Fort Worth.)
