Two thoughts come to mind:
1. She must be bored without American Idol.
2. At least she can actually sing passably. If she can learn to dance and act in the time it takes to rehearse a replacement for a Weissler show, then we'll see how well she does.

She does need the money I guess. I suppose her Bravo gig isn't enough. I really don't think she is meant to be in front of an audience in anything. She is an ok song writter, who got lucky.

She's 40? Really?
I cannot imagine she has all that much name recognition. I can't imagine AI fans (IF they hear about it) running to see her in person. And, as stated above, she can't be worse than Brinkley.

Any word on her? I love Mr Yazbeck and would love to see him as Billy, but could not stand her unless she actually is talented. Just curious.

Her support for her anti-gay father's senate campaign left a rather bad taste in my mouth. Though I suppose that's a tough position for her to be in.
