Katie Finneran is one of the very best singing character actresses we have; her Hannigan will be as sexy or frumpy as whatever they need, and will very probably be the best take on the role since Loudon. Really fine casting.

Wow! That's wonderful, she's going to be brilliant, this will definitely get me to see ANNIE, unlike other rumored names which sounded good but wouldn't have gotten me to actually see the show.

Finneran's 2nd baby, another son, is due in early summer so she'll be ready to go when the revival begins previews in early October 2012.

So excited for her! I loved her in Promises, Promises and Wonderfalls. This casting announcement is probably the only thing that's going to get me to see Annie.
