>>>"Scott Nevins also mentioned it.. and he seems to never be wrong."<<<
Oh, please! I was his English teacher. I should have saved some of his essays. You'd be surprised about how wrong he could be!!!!!
Hm. I wonder how this show will sell. With no big names, I mean what's the draw? It's a show we've all seen and heard numerous times. Multiple movies, etc. Why spent $120 for a show you already know how it's going to play out? It's not like they can really do anything "interesting" with the design of the show, etc. It's just going to a be standard ol' Annie.
RippedMan, people will plop money down because it won't be a gamble. They will know what they're getting.
And Finneran will be divine.

Maybe not, with David Korins designing it...
David Korins Designs
You think there will be LED projections of NYC at the time?
Dollypop.. my info doesn't come from old essays. It comes from devine and wishful pillow talk.
I like many of those designs for David Korins. They're not really unusual or innovative, but they seem to suit the shows well enough.
And other than a production of Godspell, he has no musicals featured on his website.
Oh ... and I can already hear the girls: "We love you, Miss Finneran!"
His design for The Sisters Rosenweig is fairly traditional and in a style that could translate quite easily into the Warbucks mansion.
And back on topic, Katie Finneran will be hilarious and divine as Miss Hannigan.

I love Katie and I'm sure she will be amazing if it is true but I don't know if it's still enough to get me to see it.

Suddenly I want to see this ANNIE.
Excellent, excellent, choice.
If only we could extract Michael Cerveris from Evita, he could play Warbucks :)
Very good news about Katie Finneran. I'm still breathing a sigh of relief that they didn't go with Rosie. Ugh, nightmares...
I like Katie, she can be terribly funny but I am kinda tired of her blowsy, deep-throated drunk routine.
I much prefered Mercer (who was also blowsy and deep throated)in PP.
That said she's better than almost all the Actresses mentioned before for the role.

I was not actually all that impressed with her in PROMISES, PROMISES. She seemed way over the top, especially compared to everyone else in the cast. She seems quite young for this part -
I like this.
Coming this fall...
FINNERAN...
IS...
HANNIGAN.

Me like.
(I'm a STEP closer to seeing this.)
This makes me think they have a star for Warbucks or Grace (probably Warbucks).
Still, so excited about this casting!
There has GOT to be a star in the role of Warbucks then, they aren't going to open the first revival with no big name (theater, tv, or otherwise).
How do you feel about Victor Garber, or Stanley Tucci? I think they'd both be divine!
Ooh....Tucci....hmmm.....
As long as it isn't Conrad John Schuck yet again.
I can oddly see Jason Segel as Warbucks. But I doubt that considering his schedule.
Usher could be inspired.....
I had heard Christopher Seiber.
If this is a revival with no stars and top caliber Broadway talent, then hats off to the creative team! Because that would make me to see it!
Seiber would be great.
