I've often thought this would make a beautiful musical..

For some reason when I read this, I was thinking Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil; must be the Clint Eastwood connection, or rather, disconnection in my head. Anyway, I was wondering what part Kelli would have in that....but now it makes sense. LOL.
Lady Chablis, of course!
Seriously, what's with the sudden rush to musicalize every movie made in the late-'80s/early-'90s?!
And I found both the book and film to be very boring. (The film was a snoozefest, in my opinion.)
I hope We get a TROOP BEVERLY HILLS musical soon. And I'm so not even joking.

Kelli is his good luck charm. I hope he recovers from the debacles of Women on The Verge and Funny Girl.
She sang a song from BRIDGES during her concert at Caramoor this summer.
It was gorgeous.
I'm looking forward to this.
^ Was the song "Another Life"? It's on her most recent cd and it's beautiful.

No one read the memo that film nostalgia and Broadway don't mix. Sadly, the catalogue of films from that period is quite long.

Yes! It was such a treat to hear her sing it live.
(You and I share the same great taste, CockeyedOptimist2!)
We do indeed!

Painfully trite and unmoving book and movie. Spare me.
