I'm listening to Into the Woods and it got me in the mood to post this. I personally love both. Their voices are gorgeous.

First of all, Kim Crosby.
Second of all, how could Laura Benanti have ever played Cinderella? She was 8 when it opened.
Kim Crosby without a doubt.
Benanti bores me.
And for the record, she was Cinderella in the Broadway revival of the show.
Bobby, Andy refuses to believe that the revival ever happened...

Hahahahahaha WHAT????
You guys are so crazy...
A revival of Into the Woods...
Thanks for the laugh.
I would LOVE a revival of this show, but I honestly don't see that happening any time soon.
My cd of the revival is cracked, and I've only played it once.
I think even the cast recording is trying to self destruct and pretend it doesn't exist.
Another vote for Kim Crosby.
I thought Benanti was lovely.
But Crosby was sublime!
And Crosby actually shows up to her performances.
As the recent revival of Follies at BSC proved, Ms. Crosby is one of our most underrated actresses. She's a true diamond and needs to come home to Broadway!
Kim Crosby without a doubt. I'm with andyf on the status of the recent revival that occurred.

call me crazy, but Laura B. without a doubt. Kim was completely lovely--thrilling performance, but my $$ is on Ms. B.

As the great American poet and philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once remarked, "N*gga, please."
You too have lost touch my dear.

I vote for Kim because not only is she wonderful, but so is her husband. I love them both!
KIM! She was sublimely perfect...no contest...Kim by a landslide.

when it comes to Laura, I have lost touch slightly. she's a goddess. well, in regards to her voice anyway. Laura wins it, if for nothing else, for her last note in No One is Alone. Also for her last note in On the Steps of the Palace, however ill-conceived that moment was--suddenly Jack & Red are there? what the hell?
Kim Crosby. Her performance was excellent.
"I Know Things Now," "Giants in the Sky" and "On the Steps of the Palace" are all musically linked...hard to explain, but there is a rhythmic figure that occurs in all three songs. They are also the three moments of self-discovery for those three characters, which is why the revival brought them together for the end of "On the Steps of the Palace". Thought it was overemphatic, but I understand why they did it.

I saw them both. I loved them both. Why can't I have both?
