Not the best rendition I've heard (still Whitney), but don't think it's 'uproar' worthy.

People didn’t like that rendition? I think that’s the first time I’ve been moved by the song in a minute. She displayed extraordinary musicianship in that performance.

Can't think of any time KC has ever been criticized for a performance....????

The Get Off My Lawn crowd doesn't like it when the anthem is sung too fast, too slowly, or if any vocalist gets "inventive" with it. Kristin sang it slowly and unnecessarily sang a high note. Double whammy on Kristin.

Haha, doesn’t every singer get super self-indulgent and riffy when they sing it? My favorite is when Jennifer Lopez inserted “Let’s Get Loud” during Biden’s inauguration.
