You are funny, the post made me laugh. So, no hate from me!

My only problem with that artwork is the way it was lit. It emphasises the muscle tone too much, making the dancers look too masculine. Otherwise it's kind of cool.

That's the point, dumbo. THEY ARE MEN. They have penises. The masculine outline is supposed to catch more attention. For those who don't know the show, they'll have to look closer.
This is a wonderful poster - I'm loving the artwork. I'd like to see you do better, aajbjajbja. Great, Great, Great!!! xoxoxo

I love this artwork. If this is the windowcard it's definitely going up on my wall.

Now which one of those queens is Kelsey Grammar?

It also emphasizes the tone of the productions; how the Cagelles aren't supposed to be able to pass as women. It's pretty clear that they're all dudes.

What? Drag queens have penises?! Why did no one tell me this before??
I know they're meant to be men, I'm not as dumb as I look. Personally, I just think it's a cooler effect if you can't tell straight away. I think the muscle tone is *too* obvious. Their body shape and the silhouette of their facial features would make you look twice and on their own would be subtle, rather than really obvious. Just a personal opinion on a minor issue, dude, I said I liked it.

I think they're bargaining on some people getting confused by the poster and thinking that it's a special kind of show.

Oh I love it actually!! And from what I've heard the revival makes no attempt to make you really believe the Cagelles are women.

That was Arthur's directorial approach/"hook" 25 years ago and the main reason the show was such a success, during the Reagan reign no less. The opposite approach now is the main reason this revival is doomed to fail.

Between the poster and the Royal Variety performance I'm watching right now, I couldn't be more excited. I love this take on the material.

Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

If you like La Cage, perhaps you'd be interested in reading this interview I did with the swings for the show when it was in the West End: https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/BEHIND_THE_SCENES_The_Swing_Of_Things_20090830

Stop being so reflexively negative.
It's a great poster. It's very eye-catching and VERY sexy.
