Does anyone know why the La Cage matinee starts at 2:30 instead of 2?
Douglas Hodge was out today---I exchanged our tix for a future date---I really want to see his performance.

Who was his understudy? Chris Hoch?
I saw him Saturday night, the night before the Tonys, and you could tell the energy of both the performers and the crowd made the performance special. He was great, m

not sure why it's at 2:30, but Chicago's matinees have been at 2:30 for a while now. I think it offers people who are running a little late to grab tickets.
I'm also curious as to who went on, Hodge's voice did sound scratchy at the Tony's.

Posted: 6/17/10 at 10:19amI think the Weissler's came up with the schedule, pricing, rush, etc. All of it resembles CHICAGO. They are smart when it comes to that stuff.

Posted: 6/17/10 at 10:25amThe thinking is that tourists who get to the TKTS line at 1:45 thinking they'll get tickets for one of the sold-out hit shows will see that they have an extra 1/2 hour and get a ticket to one of the 2:30 shows.

Posted: 6/17/10 at 11:35amSaw the 2:30 show yesterday, Dale Hensley was on for Albin. Don't have time for a full review, and I haven't seen Douglas Hodge (except for on the Tonys), but Hensley was great. The whole cast seemed so excited to have him go on for the first time. The show had great energy.
