Poor Laura...this is her what, third time?
I'm happy to see this. I loved Tina both times. It's nice that Laura has time to get better and not worry about her health and the show at the same time.

I saw Tina today- AWESOME!
I'm about to write a review on the other thread I started yesterday.
Yes, her third time. Feel better, Laura! I really did enjoy her performance in The Wedding Singer...she has an incredible voice. Get well soon!

Indeed, TWS is in very good hands. Now is a wonderful time to visit ... Tina is in the show!
Good luck to the girl with golden hair. Tina IS the show!

Tina might get some exposure from the media for taking over for the six weeks.

Now if only Steve Lynch would decide he wants to take a long lovely cruise to the Caribbean or Alaska or someplace and I could hear Matthew Morrison sing the score. That would be astounding. They'd make a kinda cute pair. Like duckends.
I wish Laura well and from what I hear and know, Tina has it under control
Methinks if they are thinking 6 monyhs ahead, they feel the show will be steady enough to not think about closing?

People, Tina's been on for the past month. This "announcement" is just a formality. Sadly, if the grosses keep tanking, Tina will finish out the show.
The show is in great shape and Tina did get some awesome reviews when she opened in Mamma Mia! Bring the critics on back!
Well the article did say they are looking for a celebrity, so hopefully it will not be closing as soon as we think it will.

Hmmm.
Should the critics come back now or in the first week of September when everyone's back after Labor Day?

Six WEEKS, not months.
nom, Stephen's going to be on vacation that week.
Now will they finally get Tina a new wedding dress? She's earned it!
LOL Well, they can come back the first week in September if they want... but they won't be seeing Lynch. Kevin Kern will be Robbie that week. :p

I am looking for a really GREAT male voice, not just any fill-in.

Just hire Rebecca Luker and be done with it. She and Laura are the tag team, as everyone knows.

Do you think they're going to leave the understudy board up for 4-6 weeks or change the playbill around?
Don't you think Rebecca is a little old for the part?

Ummm... Kevin Kern DOES have a really great voice. Have you even heard him sing?
I wish Benanti the best. Sadly, I think this is going to really affect her future career on Broadway. The insurance premium for a future production starring Benanti is now going to be astronomical.

Is Kern a better singer than Lynch?
